Storm damage June 2017

With such high winds and trees in full leaf it is sad to see old friends suffer.
A sycamore weakened by disease split in half. It has had extensive tree surgery and might still live a few more years.
Meanwhile, we are planting young trees and whips each autumn to replace our older trees – many of whom are coming to the ends of their lives.
