OUTSTANDING again in 2016

The Friends of Margravine Cemetery again did well in the  London in Bloom awards 2016. We were judged as ‘Outstanding’ in the ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ category, and gained a silver-gilt in the ‘Our Community’ award.

Pruning, planting, watering, planning, caring for the buildings and memorials, researching the history, carrying out surveys, leading walks are all part of the brief. The 130 strong membership takes a regular and active part in the cemetery’s life.

We are keen to promote the attractiveness of the cemetery –  in partnership with the Council – for the very many visitors who pass through the cemetery each day on their way to work or for pleasure.
